What is a good introduction for a persuasive speech about immigrants?

This is what i have so far - Imagine a teenage girl, only fourteen years old, having to go every month to Mexico just to be able to see her dear family and to give them food to eat. - is it good? what should i add? should i start over? please give me some ideas, i need to turn in this paper tomorrow.
